Glee has done it again. In last week’s episode, On My Way, as David Karofsky laid out his suit on his bed and tested his belt while Blaine sang Cough Syrup in the background, I bawled. The character who bullied Kurt for his overt gay self to cover up his own sexual orientation had been found out. To him, suicide seemed the only option. Thankfully he didn’t succeed.
First Love = Self Love
It is rewarding to find someone you like, but it is essential to like yourself. It is quickening to recognize that someone is a good and decent human being, but it is indispensable to view yourself as acceptable. It is a delight to discover people who are worthy of respect and admiration and love, but it is vital to believe yourself deserving of these things. ~Jo Coudert

In my mind, it raised the question, what happens when we all look similar? How will the purpose of plastic surgery change? Right now people often use it to look more “perfect” or more like someone they admire. But if everyone looks alike, what will it be then? I can see people going in and asking for a different nose or chin so that they can look unique from those around them.
